Nevida Ann Anderson, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
She was born May 16, 1932, in Wilkin County, Minnesota, the oldest of seven children born to Allen and Ida “Agnes” (Engelson) Kragerud. She attended Rothsay High School.
On June 22, 1952 she married DeVaughn “Sonny” Anderson at Hamar Lutheran Church in Rothsay. She farmed alongside her husband on the family farm near Erhard until his passing. In 2001 she moved to Fergus Falls. She worked at the Fergus Falls Medical Group and then at Invision Eye Care until her retirement.
Nevida was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, where she was active with the Grace Lutheran Women and the quilting group.
She was a wonderful mom and grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They have many stories of going to GG’s especially on Friday. They knew there would always be a fresh pan of bars waiting, as well as her always bringing Sunday dessert. She enjoyed quilting, baking, and spending time with her lady friends and her daughters.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, DeVaughn “Sonny” in 1978, her son, David “Sac” in 2000, her son-in-law Stanley Toso in 2011, a brother, Orlyn, and a sister, Mary.
Survivors include her daughters: Deb Toso of Rothsay, Diane (Alan) Haugrud of Erhard, and Donna Anderson of Fergus Falls; six grandchildren: Amy (Joel) Meyer, Jessica (DJ) Holland, Molly (Breck) Eckley, Kayla (Cody) Schafer, and Ashley and Tyler Haugrud; great-grandchildren: Elli and Tripp Meyer, Trey and Tydan Holland, Destiny and Jaxon Eckley and Nora Schafer; siblings: Annette (Orland) Stephenson, Janice (Donald) Grouws, Jim (Carol) Kragerud, Bob (Randee) Kragerud, Jackie Kragerud, and Charles Rice; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2013, at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, Minnesota
