Nancy Ann Bordson, age 55, of Bovey, Minnesota and formerly of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.
She was born October 7, 1957, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Otto and Muriel (Foshaug) Olson. She grew up in Fergus Falls, where she attended school, graduating from Fergus Falls High School.
Over the years she was employed as a beautician, day care provider, and home health aide. While employed as a home health aide in Minneapolis, Nancy was awarded the Outstanding Home Health Provider of the Year Award by the University of Minnesota Hospital/Fairview.
Nancy enjoyed skiing, camping, traveling, spending time at the lake, gardening, and gourmet cooking.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Otto and Muriel Olson, and her grandparents.
Survivors include her children, Nick Henkes of Minneapolis, and Molly Henkes of Grand Forks; her sister, Pamela (Jim) Wolters of Fargo, ND; a niece, Sarah (Mark) Huckle; nephews Ryan (Marissa) Wolters and Ben (Erin) Wolters; and many treasured friends.
Her memorial service will be held concurrently with her mother, Muriel Olson’s, service at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls with Reverend Nancy Eldredge Hess officiating. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
