N. Jeanne Narum, 80, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
She was born on July 22, 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Tom and Norma (Sandbeck) Johnson. Jeanne attended Duluth East High School graduating in 1951.
Jeanne worked in the corporate world as a secretary at Honeywell and General Mills for a number of years until she retired in the late 1980s.
Jeanne loved to travel around the world to warm and sunny places and enjoyed sailing the Caribbean with Dick as her captain. She was a painter, a quilter, a golfer and a gardener. Jeanne enjoyed her bridge and poker games with her girlfriends and a casino run just for fun. For many years, she enjoyed time camping with the family and friends. Jeanne also had rhythm, roller skating every week to the latest tunes with friends. She loved fishing with her husband who always took care of baiting the hook for her and sometimes, out-fishing him. When she retired, she and Dick spent their winters in Ft. Walton Beach with many friends, and summers at Walker Lake in Camp Nidaros watching sunsets, birds and their children and grandchildren swim and ski and just have fun.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Tom and Norma.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Narum of Fergus Falls; children, Tom (Kay) Narum of Coon Rapids, Julie (Scott) Narum-Johnson of Maple Grove, Suzanne Ryan of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Mike Narum, Max and Alec Johnson and Heather Ryan; siblings, Barbara Nori and Linda Sue Johnson.
