Mildred Pearl Wienbar, 94, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls. She was born March 17, 1918, in Clitherall Township of Otter Tail County, Minnesota, the daughter of Victor and Tena (Torgrimson) Brodin. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Mildred attended rural school at District 283 through the 8th grade. She graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1935. She then graduated from the New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo, North Dakota, and worked in beauty shops in Fergus Falls. On October 27, 1946, she married Amos Wienbar at the Western Presbyterian Parsonage in Doran, Minnesota. They lived most of their married life in and around Fergus Falls where her husband was engaged in custom combining, trucking and cattle feeding. After retiring they spent several winters in Mesa, Arizona. She was a member of The Federated Church and VFW and DAV Auxiliaries. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Orral Brodin and Audrey Regan, and one brother, Lionel Brodin. Survivors include two sons, Steve (Melinda) Wienbar of Minot, ND, and Doug (Amanda) Wienbar of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren: Brianne Sampson, Rebecca Wienbar, Coy Wienbar, and Kaylee Wienbar; and two great-grandchildren: Owen Sampson and Cash Wienbar.
