Mildred Myrtle Miller, 93, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Mildred was born on March 26, 1924, in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Franklin and Myrtle (Meder) Rau. She grew up on the farm in Buse Township and attended country school District 30 and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1942. After high school she worked for Dr. H.A. Anderson as a dental assistant.
In March of 1946, Mildred married Arlow Miller at the Methodist parsonage in Fergus Falls. After the couple married, they moved to Litchfield and lived there from 1949 to 1956, where she worked part time for a dentist there. Upon their return to Fergus Falls, they owned and operated Miller’s Radio and TV Service, until they retired in 1985.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, V. F. W. Auxiliary and the Humane Society of Otter Tail County. She enjoyed redoing furniture, gardening and tending to her “rose bushes”.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Arlow, who died in 2009; son, Dana, who died in 2010 and her brother, Merrill Rau.
Survivors include her brother, Arvid (Beryl) Rau of Fergus Falls; brother-in-law, Delain (Gloria) Miller of Fergus Falls; sisters-in-law, Jane Miller of Fergus Falls, and Fern Rau of Elizabeth. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: ½ hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Fall, MN
