Mildred Elizabeth Lewis

Mildred Elizabeth Lewis, 78, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Broen Home in Fergus Falls.

She was born May 18, 1935, in Louisville, Georgia, the daughter of Tommie Lee and Cora Thomas. Her family moved to Michigan where Mildred graduated from Detroit Public High School with honors.

Mildred married Agustusa Lewis in Detroit, Michigan and she spent many years working in home healthcare. While in Michigan, she was a member of the Eastern Stars and went to Prince of Peace church.

She loved puzzles, playing games, watching movies, and especially enjoyed reading books and walking.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Tommie Lee and Cora Thomas; daughter, Shalonda Raynetta Bell; and son-in-law, Marvin Berry.

Survivors include her daughter, Carmen Berry of Fargo, North Dakota; grand-children, Marvell, Maurice, Myrone, Marlo, Michael, Marvin Jr., Kelly, and Diamond of Fargo, North Dakota; great-grandchildren, Sheyeane, Deivion, Olivia, MaKayla, Maurice Jr., Caden, Kaveyon, Jazamine, X’zavier; and other family members, Steven Richards, William Berry, Red Vinetta, Baby Doll, and best friend, Dorothy Foster.

Graveside Service: 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Fergus Falls, MN
