Michele Kjos

Michele C. Kjos, 43, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Bancroft Group Home in Fergus Falls under the care of Lakeland Hospice. She was born October 4, 1968, In Moorhead, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Helen (Nelson) Kjos. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. Michele graduated from Fergus Falls High School. For the past 20 years she was cared for by the caregivers at the Bancroft Home and attended Willows. Michele enjoyed shopping, going on trips and outings, and loved babies and children. She also loved being pampered by her caregivers. Preceding her in death were her father, John Kjos, and her grandmother, Dagny Kjos. Survivors include her mom, Helen (Herb) Grothmann of Hillsboro, ND; two sisters: Renee Kowalski of Fergus Falls, and Julie Hunter of Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews: Brandon (Vanessa) Kowalski, Andrew Kowalski, Daniel Kowalski, Sarah Kowalski, Rachel Hunter, Matthew Hunter, and Levi Hunter; great niece Alivia Kowalski; and her extended family and friends from the Bancroft Group Home through Lutheran Social Services. Michele touched many lives through her gentle spirit and will be greatly missed. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Nazarene Church in Fergus Falls Interment: Bethel Cemetery, rural Pelican Rapids, Minnesota Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
