Mavis Ilene Warn died January 11, 2017, on her 96th birthday at Walker Methodist Health Center in Minneapolis.
Mavis was born January 11, 1921, in Aberdeen, SD. She was the daughter of Millie (Carlson) Nelson and Carl A. Nelson of Gwinner, ND.
She married Clarence “Bud” Warn on June 1, 1943, and they lived in Minto, ND, and Fergus Falls, until 2003 when she moved to Minneapolis.
Mavis was an accomplished pianist who loved playing bridge and did beautiful handwork. Mavis spent many winters in Arizona, enjoying time with family and friends. For the last nine years she had been a resident of the Walker Methodist Health Center where she enjoyed numerous handicap accessible outings to various cultural events. She loved bingo night and was a regular church attendee.
Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, daughter Carla Mae Lehtinen, and sisters Carol Anderson and Lola Benson.
She is survived by her son Robert C. Warn, daughter-in-law Kathy, son-in-law Gene Lehtinen, grandchildren Jeff Lehtinen (Jenni), Lisa Lehtinen, Robert E Warn (Tracey) and great-grandsons Nik Lehtinen and Dylan Warn and extended family.

Service: 11:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2017, at the Federated Church in Fergus Falls
