Matthew “Matt” Ford Sheridan, 29, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at his home. He was born December 21, 1981, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Wayne Wilde and Kathleen Sheridan. He grew up in the Erhard area, graduating from Pelican Rapids High School. He then attended Wadena Technical College, completing the Fiber Optics Technician program. He has worked in the fiber optic field, most recently for Ripley’s of Erhard. Matt loved to go hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. He enjoyed his family and spending time with the younger generation. He was a big hearted individual. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include numerous aunts and uncles, including Larry and Sandy Sheridan of Underwood, Roger and Elaine Wilde of Moorhead, and Char Tollefson of Erhard; his brothers, Jake Sheridan and Justin Sheridan, both of Erhard, and Rylie Sheridan and Beau Stadum, both of Fergus Falls; a sister, Hallie Sheridan of Fergus Falls; a special cousin and friend, Kristi (Chad) Norgren-Christianson of Erhard and their children, Devin, Kalli, Brooklyn and Mason; special grandparents, Don and Eve Gillaspey and Marion Umlauf, all of Fergus Falls, along with his second set of parents, Kathy and Rocky Norgren of Erhard. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
