Mary Michele Corcoran Schreiber, 58, of Foxhome, Minnesota, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
She was born June 27, 1955, in Bessemer, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Bonnie (Gunderman) Corcoran. She grew up in Iron Mountain, MI, graduating from high school there in 1973. She attended Michigan State University in Lansing, and graduated from Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba, Michigan. She worked in the office of the County Clerk for Dickinson County, Michigan. On January 12, 2001, she married Skip Schreiber in Iron Mountain.
Mary lived a life of kindness and generosity to family and friends alike. She was the very best Mom that her children could ever ask for. Her graciousness manifested itself in countless ways, from caring support of family members in their spousal losses to being a doting grandmother to Rehanna and an “awesome” aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Corcoran.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Skip Schreiber, Foxhome MN; daughter, Megan Corcoran, Green Bay WI; son, Doug Linsmeyer, Bloomington MN; stepson, Quinn (Amy) Schreiber and grandchildren Jon and Rehanna, Foxhome MN; her mother Bonnie Corcoran, Iron Mountain MI; siblings: Norma (Olson) Hoke, Iron Mountain, MI, Bob Olson, Sagola MI, Carol (Corcoran) Paisley, New Richmond WI, Margie Corcoran, Perham MN, Pat Corcoran and wife Margo, Auburn IN, and Mike Corcoran and wife Susan, Kingsford MI. Mary was also a wonderful aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2013, at Foxhome Lutheran Church, Foxhome, MN
