Mary Lou Maack, 82, of Fergus Falls, formerly of Elizabeth, Minnesota, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
Mary Lou was born on April 23, 1932, the daughter of Fredrick and Edna (Hanson) Griepentrog of Pelican Rapids. She was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church of Elizabeth, Minnesota by Reverend Geo Grabarkewitz. She was confirmed at Pelican Valley Church of Pelican Rapids by Rev. E.O. Stenson. Mary Lou attended Pelican Rapids High School, graduating in 1950.
On October 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to Elroy V. Maack at St. John Lutheran Church in Elizabeth. She worked for Homan Telephone Company and Lake Region Coop Electrical of Pelican Rapids. She also worked at the Fergus Falls Medical Group until her retirement.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she served as the treasurer. She was also the clerk of School District 1399 and served as secretary of LWML of St. John Lutheran Church.
Mary Lou enjoyed entertaining her friends, family and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 58 years, Elroy; son, Steven Maack; daughter, Debbie Jorgenson.
She is survived by her son, Wesley Maack of Blaine, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Carissa and Nathan Maack of Coon Rapids; son-in-law, Roger Jorgenson of Rothsay; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation: 5-7 p. m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at Olson Funeral Home
