Mary Ann Farsdale

Mary Ann (Klaksvik) Farsdale, 64, of Underwood passed away on July 24, 2014 at Lake Region Healthcare, Fergus Falls, MN.

Mary was the daughter of Selvin and Lorraine (Wold) Klaksvik. Born and raised in rural Underwood, she attended District 109 (Scramstad School) and graduated from Underwood High School in 1967. She attended Interstate Business College and worked at various jobs. Upon returning to Underwood she worked at the Underwood Café and most recently for the Underwood Public School. On August 8, 1970, she married Roger Farsdale, son of Wade and Cordy (Bakko) Farsdale. Mary and Roger were blessed with 2 children, Sarah and Ryan.

Mary was a fun-loving, caring person who loved to laugh and was full of life. She loved to entertain and was known for her birthday parties, always with party favors. Her door was always open and she loved when people stopped by to visit. Rides were always a favorite activity, no matter what the destination. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and helped teach her kids and nieces and nephews to waterski. But spending time with the grandkids was top on her list and sleepovers were a must. Mary and Roger would take the grandkids on educational adventures and have “old fashioned picnics”. Mary was baptized, confirmed and married at the Tingvold Lutheran Church north of Underwood and has been a longtime member of Sverdrup Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Selvin and Lorraine (Wold) Klaksvik; father-in-law, Wade Farsdale; and brother-in-law Joel Ebert.

Mary is survived by her husband of almost 44 years, Roger Farsdale; daughter, Sarah (Paul) Jensen, Fergus Falls, MN; son, Ryan (Mindy Erlandson) Farsdale, Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, Brady, Chase and Abbi Jensen, Fergus Falls, MN; Caleb and Hope Farsdale, Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Susan Ebert, Rochester, MN; brother, Donald (Sandy) Klaksvik, Underwood, MN; sister-in-law, Judy Klaksvik, Underwood, MN; mother-in-law, Cordy Farsdale, Walcott, ND, several nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Blessed be the memories of Mary (Miss Mary) Farsdale, who has never been better!

Visitation: Saturday, August 2nd, 5-7pm with a 6:30pm prayer service at Olson Funeral Home
Service: 3 p. m. Sunday, August 3rd, at Sverdrup Lutheran Church, Underwood
