Mary Ann Blair

d. January 31, 2025

Mary Ann Blair, 82, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family after her battle with Alzheimer's and cancer.

Mary Ann Raymond was born to Isabelle and Francis Raymond in Grand Forks, ND. She was the youngest of two children with her brother, Joe. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School through high school in East Grand Forks, MN. After high school she attended Bemidji State University for one year.

She worked at White Drug in Grand Forks, ND where she met her husband, Jerome Blair. They were married in November of 1962 and moved to Fergus Falls, MN. The couple had four children.

Mary Ann enjoyed time at the lake and camping with friends. She was a stay-at-home mom until all four kids were in school. She then worked for the Star Tribune, co-owned OK Hardware, and they started A-1 Lock and Key and A-1 Trophy & Awards.

She was a great cook and baker, making many wonderful treats for her family. She always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary Ann also loved to watch the Minnesota Vikings and Notre Dame football games. For many years she bowled on a bowling league.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Francis and Isabelle; son, Bruce; brother, Joe Raymond, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael Kokinos, Norma (Rodney) Thiele, and Shirley (Henry) Bubendorf.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jerome Blair; children, Brian Blair, Brenda (Cullen) Brown, and Beverly (Tony) Koep; grandchildren, Tyler Brown (Susan Johnson), T.J. Brown, Jeramey Brown, and Kendra Koep; great-grandchildren, Milo and Asher Brown, and sisters-in-law, Claudia Raymond and Sharon Kokinos.

We would like to extend our sincere thank you to Knute Nelson (Vivie) Hospice for providing excellent care for Mary Ann.
