Marvin Berry, 48, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.  He was born May 7, 1961, in West Memphis, Arkansas, the son of James and Everlina (Wright) Berry. He graduated from Western High School in Detroit, Michigan, with the Class of 1979. He worked at Thorn Apple Valley for many years. In 2000 he moved to Fergus Falls where he was employed at Metz Bakery until his illness progressed to the point he was unable to work.   On March 23, 2001 he married Carmen Maria Bell in Fergus Falls.  Marvin was a member of the Salvation Army where he enjoyed visiting and was very sociable. He also enjoyed football and basketball and watching sports at the high school, movies, and especially spending time with his family. Preceding him in death were his father, James; two sisters, Charlotte and Cora; two nephews, Darrin and Aaron; one niece, Si-Erra; and his father-in-law, Tommy Bell. Survivors include his wife, Carmen Berry of Fergus Falls; seven sons: Marvin of Michigan, Marvell, Maurice, Myrone, Marlo, Michael, and Marvin Jr. all of Fergus Falls; three daughters: Shakina Matthews of St. Paul, and Kelly Bell and Diamond Bell of Fergus Falls; nine grandchildren: Sheyenne, Olivia, Deovion, Kaveyon, MaKayla, Robelle, Adriana, Caden, and Maurice Jr.; his mother-in-law, Mildred Lewis of Detroit, Michigan; a daughter-in-law, Emily Lauter; his siblings: Andrew, James Jr., Earl, Jerline, Everlina, Ethel, Georgia, Violet, and Joshphine all of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends Visitation: 1-2:30 p.m. Monday at the Salvation Army in Fergus Falls Service:  2:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Salvation Army Chapel in Fergus Falls Clergy:  Captain Mike Parker Interment: Detroit Memorial Park West, Redford, Michigan Funeral Home: Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls Condolences may be sent online at www.olsonfuneralhome.com
