Marlys A. Hegerle, age 76, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday morning, September 2nd, 2007 at the Lake Region Hospital. Marlys was born on August 21st, 1931 in Otter Tail County to Frank and Caroline (Herting) Ohman. She grew up in Dunn Township and attended District 98 in Candor Township. On September 11th, 1948 she married Wilbur Hegerle and the two made their home in Fergus Falls. Marlys was an excellent homemaker who loved cooking and sewing. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, camping and fishing. The cottage on South Turtle Lake held many wonderful memories for her, her family and friends. Over the years she was employed as a cook and a sales clerk making many wonderful friends in the process. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Fernard Ohman, and a sister Berneice Aschnewitz. Survivors include her husband Wilbur; three sons; Joel (Nancy Falck) Hegerle of Fargo, ND, Ron (Cherie) Hegerle of South Lida Lake, and Daryl (Sara) Hegerle of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Dorraine Boushley of Alexandria and Margaret Mayfield of Detroit Lakes, as well as six grandchildren: Jack (Jessie), John, Collin (fiance`, Melissa), Luke (Chelsea), Elise and Grant.
