Marlin Loren Knodle, 53, a resident of Fergus Falls, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls as a result of a stroke. Marlin was born on May 30, 1958 in Fergus Falls, the son of Merville Knodle and Zelda (Brown) Knodle. He grew up and attended school in Fergus Falls, graduating from Fergus Falls High School in 1977. He worked in the tire business for many years, working for Les’ Tire Service, North Union Co-op and K&K tire. He also worked in the fishing industry in Alaska and as a cutter in the logging industry in Oregon. Marlin was a very kind and gentle man. He enjoyed creating family photo albums, genealogy, fun facts, was a history buff and liked baking chocolate chip cookies. He is survived by his parents; sisters, Roxane (Rick) Thom, and Cheryl (Larry) Enderle, and brother, Craig Knodle, all of Fergus Falls; and nieces and nephews, Riley Knodle, and Katrina, Chelsey and Gabriel Enderle. A private family graveside service will be held Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Richville City Cemetery with the Reverend Ed Monson officiating. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
