Mark Andrews

Mark Robert Andrews, 56, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at his home. He was born March 1, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, the son of Robert and Yvonne (Rafferty) Andrews. He graduated from Underwood High School in 1974. Following high school he entered the U.S. Army, serving with the Air Defense Artillery working with the Hawk missiles, where he was stationed in Germany and Crete, and Key West, Florida Following his return from the military, he attended Wahpeton State School of Science, and then was employed with McLaughlin’s in Fargo. He returned to Fergus Falls five years ago. Mark was a member of the American Legion in Underwood. He loved to go to the casino, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, baseball, and watching NASCAR and sports on television. Preceding him in death were his parents, Yvonne and Robert, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and a niece, Brenda Beckman. Survivors include his stepfather-Dad, Clifford Ouren of Battle Lake; his siblings: Robyn (Steve) Beckman of Fergus Falls, Randy (Lyn) Andrews of Henning, Wayne (Ann) Ouren of Billings, MT, and Lauri (Tim) Nelson of Fergus Falls; nieces and nephews: Teresa Correy, Stacy Hammes, Jacob, Jeremy, and Joshua Andrews, Kristi Rudolf, Jason and Christopher Shearer, Carmen Schroeder, Heather and T.J. Nelson, Kendall Phillips, and Sarah Stefano; and many aunts and uncles. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Maplewood Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Erhard. Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.
