Marjorie June Stafford, 82, a resident of rural Fergus Falls, died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Lake Region Healthcare.
Marjorie was born on June 28, 1933, to William and Clara (Schoening) Stein. She attended a one-room country school in District 1424 and Fergus Falls High School.
On July 27, 1951, she married Lynn Clifford Stafford in Fergus Falls. She spent her life caring for her parents and running the family farm, as well as being employed as a clerk and in merchandising at JC Penney’s in Fergus Falls, creating window displays for the store.
Marjorie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. She enjoyed gardening, travelling and watching Lynn on his new riding lawn mower.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Clara Stein; her husband, Lynn Stafford; and two sisters, Dorothy Grant and Evelyn Murray.
Marge is survived by two sons, Wayne (Margie) Stafford of Park City, UT, and Keith (Cindy) Stafford of Fergus Falls; a daughter, Kathryn (Richard) Pelto of Big Lake; five grandchildren, Johnathon Stafford of Washington, DC, Elissa (Ryan) Crain of Gainesville, GA, Zachary (Kayla) Stafford of Big Lake, Ashley (Charles) Wojciechowski of Becker and Kallie (Preston) Voigt of St. Augusta, MN; and five great-grandchildren, Finnley and Kendall Wojciechowski, Nash Voigt, Colt Stafford and Clara Crain.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Bethlehem Cemetery Association.
Visitation: 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Olson Funeral Home and resumes one hour prior to the service on Saturday
