Marjorie Emily Delzer, 84, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, November 25, 2013, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
She was born on October 27, 1929 in Friberg Township of Otter Tail County the daughter of Emil and Emilia (Schultz) Thom. She grew up and attended country school in Friberg Township.
Marjorie married Lester Balken in 1946. Together they traveled the United States as Lester built water towers for the PDM Steel Co. After Lester’s death she married Earl Tenney. On June 26, 1998 she married Ted Delzer at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dalton. The couple resided northwest of Dalton, wintering in Mesa, Arizona. Marjorie moved to the Pioneer Cottages in October of 2004.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dalton.
Marjorie enjoyed dancing, especially the polka, and cooking and baking.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Lester and Earl, a son, Mark, five brothers, Arthur, George, Herbert, Robert and Floyd Thom, and five sisters, Hilma Walz, Inez Beske, Dorothy Pierson, Louise Schempp, and Ruth Meder.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Delzer, of Fergus Falls; two children: Todd (Denise) Balken, and Debrah (Bob) Schweich, all of New Haven MO; and six grandchildren: Marcia, Angela, Amanda, Sarah, Aaron, and Emily.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens in Fergus Falls
