Marjorie Alberta Barringer, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
She was born on October 12, 1932, in Beulah, North Dakota, the daughter of Theron Ivan and Mary Frances (Bowers) Davidson. She grew up in the Beulah area and graduated from Beulah High School. After high school she attended Minot State Teachers College, and then taught school for one year.
On July 10, 1959, she married Delbert Wesley Barringer in Beulah, North Dakota. After their marriage, the couple moved to Bismarck, North Dakota. In 1975, they moved to Pelican Rapids, where she worked as a Typist at the Pelican Rapids Press. They moved to Fergus Falls in 1996.
She was a member of the Otter Tail County Historical Society since 1989 and volunteered there for over 20 years. Also, many people enjoyed her playing the keyboard every Tuesday morning at the Broen Memorial Home
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Robert Davidson; sister, Dorothy Moeller of Sleepy Eye, MN; and three brothers-in-law, Vincent Moeller, Richard Hazeltine and Paul Zach.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert; three sons and one daughter, Barry Barringer of Fargo, North Dakota, LaVelle (Dean) Lundby of Fergus Falls, Neal Barringer of Fargo, and Ross (Bonnie) Barringer of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Michelle Pearson of Fargo, ND, Adam Barringer and Kaya Barringer both of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Lorraine Hazeltine of Rockford, Illinois; and three brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Davidson of Avon Lake, Ohio, Ted (Luella) Davidson of Ocala, Florida; and Bruce (Barbara) Davidson of San Diego, California; three sisters-in-law, Lucille (Charlie) Herman of Bismarck, ND, Marie Zach of Fairmount, ND and Marian (Al) Sorum of Breckenridge.
