Marion Ingrid Wickstrom, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. She was born March 2, 1929, in Oak Park, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Gertrude (Magneson) Bondeson. She grew up in Chicago, graduating from Austin High School in Chicago in 1947. In June of 1951 she graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, with a degree in Music Education. On June 7, 1952, she married seminarian Arthur Wickstrom at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chicago.   When he graduated a year later they entered the ministry of Augustana Lutheran Church. They served churches in Minnesota, Utah and Kentucky. On October 3, 1956, a daughter, Joy Marie, joined the family, followed by three siblings, Carol Ingrid, Lois Ann, and Carl Eric. Marion spent her life nurturing her family and caring for her home. She was an active supporter of everything her family participated in. She was also very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion’s organ and piano talents were enjoyed in all of their parishes, in her elementary school teaching and especially in her home. Marion was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, and participated in choir, sewing quilts, and WELCA. She spent many hours volunteering at LSS, YMCA and helping third graders to read. In her lifetime she beautifully crocheted over 100 afghans which were given to friends and family. Preceding her in death were her parents, and a brother, Carl Bondeson.
