Marion Darlene Drey, 75, of Fergus Falls, died Monday, August 24, 2009, from cancer, at her son’s home in Crosslake, Minnesota. She was born March 26, 1934, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Eddie and Bertha Miller. She was baptized and confirmed at Wooddale Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, where she grew up. She did secretarial work for Minneapolis Moline, Shell Oil, and Western Oil. In 1965 she married Michael Drey at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church. They moved to Fergus Falls where she also had different jobs. Marion enjoyed volunteering. For over 30 years she pushed the book cart around the hospital passing out magazines to patients. She also helped out in the Federated Church office when needed. Her other interests were yard work, biking, walking, baking, and fishing. She found the most enjoyment in spending time at her son’s home in Crosslake. Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; her twin sister, Marilyn; her brother, Harry; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn. Survivors include her son, Stan (Cheryl) Drey of Crosslake, MN; her granddaughter, Julia; her sister, Betty (Ron) Wilhelmson; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
