Marion A. Drager, age 90, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, August 26, 2018, at PioneerCare.
Marion Alice Drager was born on May 2nd 1928 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Racine, Wisconsin to John and Lillian (Haugen) Drager. Marion’s mother died when she was just a baby and the family came to Fergus Falls. Throughout her childhood and into adulthood, she lived with her aunt Elsie. She is best remembered for her almost 46 years as a Utilities Clerk at Fergus Falls City Hall. She began her time there in August of 1948 growing and changing as the City services evolved.
Through the years she has taken great pride in her home, her garden and yard. She enjoyed watching the Twins, Vikings and other area sports teams as well as golfing many of the regions golf courses. She was a Charter Member of Hope Lutheran Church, sang in the Choir, enjoyed the fellowship and remained active as long as her health allowed. For many years she would join her friend Marie Johnson in weekly cleaning of the sanctuary and replenishing the ‘Quiet Bags’. For the last three years she has lived at PioneerCare.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents, an aunt, Elsie Drager and a special friend, Walt Cichy.
