Marilyn Joy Schroeder, 51, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was born October 8, 1956, in Grafton, North Dakota, the daughter of Alvin and Janice (Heller) Cull. She graduated from Cavalier Public School in 1976, and then attended NDSU in Fargo, ND, graduating with a degree in Horticulture in 1980. On June 28, 1980, she married Scott Schroeder in Hamilton, ND. Over the years she was employed at American Crystal, Seedtec, Pioneer, NDSU, and Scheels. Marilyn was a member of the Quilter's Guild, and enjoyed quilting, Hardanger, hunting, fishing, traveling with her husband and son, making others laugh, and taking care of her family. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Roy and Helen Cull, and Frank and Edith Heller. Survivors include her husband, Scott V. Schroeder of Fergus Falls; her son, Ryan S. Schroeder of Fergus Falls; her parents, Alvin and Janice Cull of Hamilton, ND; her siblings: Barb (Tim) Gunderson, Jeff (Kim) Cull, and Allan (Lisa) Cull all of Cavalier; her mother-in-law Linda Schroeder of Carlos, MN; her father-in-law Noel (Jan) Schroeder of Little Fork, MN; and Marty (Laura) Schroeder of El Dorado Hills, CA, Todd (Gwen) Schroeder of Apple Valley, MN, Wendy (Randy) Steidl of Carlos, MN, Barb (Dean) Anderson of Grantsburg, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: A time to meet with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
