Marie (Mrs. Tom) Troupe, 89, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. She was born August 5, 1921, in Germany to Frank and Marie (Maciej) Kampa. She immigrated to the United States in 1927 with her family, settling in Holdingford, MN. On January 18, 1947, she married Thomas Troupe in Minneapolis. Marie worked for Bell Telephone in Minneapolis. In September of 1958, they moved to Fergus Falls. Some years later they moved to West Battle Lake, where they lived for many years. They returned to Fergus Falls to live following their retirement. Marie was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls. She was a great gardener and artist, loved traveling, fishing, and cooking and entertaining family and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Tom in 2007, and a sister, Cecelia Dorian. Survivors include three sisters, Anna Gebbie, Betty Kampa and Theresa Storey, all of Elk River, three brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Leonard Kampa, all of Minneapolis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
