Margie Gagnier was born June 23, 1935, in Rugby, North Dakota to Wendelin W. Richter and Eva (Fettig) Richter. She passed away peacefully in Edmonds, WA on January 2nd, 2024.
Margie was married to Rene Gagnier October 11th, 1954 and they were inseparable since. Singing together and traveling together he was the love of her life and there are now harmonizing in heaven.
Margie was a homemaker in the true sense of the word. No matter where their travels took Margie and Rene, she would create a home through her baking, cooking, crocheting and sewing. Her generous nature meant she was continuously giving. Whether big or small her gifts were thoughtful and from the heart. Margie had a strong sense of humor and was always ready for a good belly laugh. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed grand road trips with her husband and kids to visit the relatives. Margie was very special soul and will be deeply missed.
Margie is survived by her children Renee (David) Lunde of Fergus Falls, MN, Tamie Guffey of Burnet, TX, Lisa (Jack) Stavros of Edmonds, WA; her grandsons, Christopher Gagnier, Travis Guffey, Carter Guffey; her granddaughters, Megan Guffey, Gwendolyn Stavros and Rose Stavros; her great grandson Jackson Ramirez; her great granddaughter Cambria Guffey; her sisters Caroline Faul of Spring Grove, IL, and Cecelia Weinmann of Harvey, ND; her brother Ignatius Richter of Shelton, WA and many nieces and nephews.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Rene Gagnier and her son Tommy Gagnier; her son in law Cary Guffey; her grandson Dane Guffey, her sisters Regina Eback, Catherine Weigel, Theresia Ludwig, Eva Hager; her brothers Wendelin Richter, Ludwig Richter, Leo Richter, and Adam Richter.
Friends and family may visit 4:30 - 6:00 pm on Monday, February 12th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. There will be a prayer service at 5:00 pm followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary all at the church. The visitation will continue 30 minutes prior to the mass at the church on Tuesday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 13th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
