Mae Frances Hansen, 86, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, February 16, 2008, at The Cottage in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mae was born August 6, 1921, on the family farm near Sebeka, MN, the daughter of Eddie Livingston and Bertha May Lloyd. She attended country school District 18 in Wadena County, High School in Sebeka, and Teachers Training School in Staples, MN. She enjoyed teaching in country schools in various counties in MN. On January 3, 1956 she married Truman Wm. Hansen, of Foxhome, MN, in Fergus Falls, MN. While living in Foxhome, their two children were born. In 1973, they moved to the Park Rapids, MN area. They all enjoyed the many activities available there. The children grew up, went on to further their education, got married and had their own families. In 1986, Mae and Truman moved to Rothsay, MN. They spent many happy, interesting years RVing-camping, fishing, traveling and making lifelong friends. On July 10, 1998, Truman entered the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls. Mae moved to Fergus Falls and rented an apartment in the NW Manor, adjacent to the Broen Home. Mae enjoyed being able to visit Truman so easily. She also enjoyed the many people she met, and all of the activities. Truman passed away in January 2005 and in December of 2006 Mae moved to Oklahoma to be near her daughter and younger grand children. Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Wm. Hansen and two brothers, William Eli and Clifford Raymond and their spouses. She is survived by her son, Wm. Eddie (Shelley) Hansen of Big Lake, MN, daughter, Roberta Mae (Paul) Smith of Tulsa, OK and five grandchildren: Kathryn Mae and David Wm. Hansen, and Melissa Dawn, Rachael Joy, and Benjamin Paul Smith. There will be a private family ceremony at a later date with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fergus Falls.
