Lucille Block, 85, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls. She was born April 10, 1922, in Parkers Prairie, the daughter of Carl and Elizabeth (Peterson) Block. She was baptized by Rev. J. E. Larson in Parkers Prairie and confirmed on May 3, 1936, at First Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie by Rev. Lambert Engwall. She attended school in Parkers Prairie graduating in 1940. Following graduation, she attended one year of teachers training in Walker and received a two year diploma from St. Cloud University. Later she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Moorhead State University. Lucille taught in rural schools in Otter Tail and Douglas Counties and also one year in Danvers, MN. She then taught first grade for 20 years in Pelican Rapids Public School. Lucille was very active in Augustana Lutheran Church and was involved at the River Bend Apartments where she lived for the last 27 years. Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Muriel Block; stepfather, Bennie Wig and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include several cousins including, Jan Ukkelberg of Clitherall, Deloryce Rea of Salem, Oregon, Mildred Bothun of Ashby, Clarice Lindgren of Parkers Prairie, Winston Erlandson of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Ronald Peterson of Brookings, South Dakota, Eileen Klein of Parkers Prairie, Roger Block of Prior Lake, and Eunice Kalpin of Monticello. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church Service: 11 am Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls Clergy:     Rev.
