Lowell Allen Nissen

Lowell Allen Nissen was born January 10, 1932 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Nanning and Marie (Cjell) Nissen, and passed away on December 23, 2016 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 13 days. Lowell attended country school in Dane Prairie, Minnesota and was a 1949 graduate of Fergus Falls High School. Lowell received his undergraduate and Master's Degrees in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army for two years before obtaining his PhD from the University of Nebraska. Lowell was united to Beverly Ann Chloupek on July 31, 1960 at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. They lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas for over 50 years where Lowell taught at the University of Arkansas. Lowell wrote several books, articles and read papers at International Conferences in Salzburg, Austria and Moscow, Russia.
