Lois O. Eggen

Lois Odell Eggen, 78, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Essential Health in Fargo, ND.

She was born August 16, 1935 to Oscar and Lillian (Peterson) Trosvig in Fergus Falls. Lois grew up and attended school in Fergus Falls. She worked at North Union Grocery in her early years.

On April 20, 1954 she was united in marriage to Leo Eggen at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls.

Lois was a former Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader. She will always be remembered for her love of family, bingo, Minnesota Twins, cooking, entertaining and her sense of humor.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Mary Ann in infancy; great-granddaughter, Chevelle Ann; sister, Helen Duenow.

She is survived by her husband Leo of Fergus Falls; two sons, Gary (Diane) Eggen of Fergus Falls, Corey (Amy) Eggen of Fergus Falls; daughter, Barbara (Chris) Mikkelson of Jamestown, ND; 11 grandchildren, Heather Eggen, Brent (Lindsie) Eggen, Ashley Maragos, Melissa Mikkelson, Chastity (Matt) Schafer, Ryan (Jessica) Mikkelson, Samuel Eggen, Kasey Eggen, Karena (Matt) Goehner, Levi Williams, Tyson (Vida) Williams; five great-grandchildren, Kylee, Keagan, Bennett, Eddison, Safira; 3 sisters, Colleen Kumm, Inez Norgren, Ramona Kumm all of Fergus Falls. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 12-3 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 with a 2 p.m. prayer service at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. Visitation resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls
