Lois Marie Johnson Danielson (nee Stengrim), 86, passed from this world in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, on April 22, 2015, due to complications related to emphysema.

Born November 2, 1928, in Stephen, Minnesota to Gilbert and Mary (Carlson) Stengrim, Lois was raised in the Stephen area. After graduating from high school in Stephen, she worked for a time at the telephone company in St. Paul, Minnesota, then returned to northern Minnesota and worked as a bookkeeper.

She married Rodney Johnson on October 13, 1950. After her marriage, she was a homemaker, and the family moved to various states. Lois gave birth to eight children before the family returned to Minnesota in 1966. Widowed in 1970, Lois returned to bookkeeping for a time. She then met and married Donald Danielson January 8, 1973, who had three children from his first marriage. During her marriage to Donald, the couple made their homes in Rothsay, Pelican Rapids, Baudette, and Fergus Falls. Lois was widowed again in 1999 and moved to Florida and then Texas to be closer to some of her children. She returned to Fergus Falls in the latter years of her life.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two children, Rodney E. Johnson and Julie Streeter; and a step-daughter, Debra Danielson; as well as nine of her siblings.

She is survived by six of her children: Jeri (Mike) Gresser, Carol (Fernando) Colon, Sandra Chrz, Anita (Mark) Anderson, Merri (Steve) Hunstad, and Terry Johnson; step-children Dean (Sue) Danielson and Carla Danielson; as well as a brother Robert Stengrim, a sister Bette Henkes; and fourteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

A family gathering to celebrate her life and mourn her passing is planned for a later date.
