Linda L. Abramson, 67, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, November 24, 2011, at the Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls. After a long battle with cancer, Linda finally received her ultimate healing, and her family rejoices that she suffers no more in her eternal home. She was born November 6, 1944, in St. Paul, the daughter of Walter and Avis (Byers) Wickstrom. She graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1962 and attended St. Paul Bible College for two years and St. Cloud State University for one year. On May 7, 1966, she married William Abramson in Minneapolis. The couple made their home in Minneapolis and moved to Fergus Falls in 1973. Linda was a homemaker, raising three children, and an entrepreneur. Linda was a member of Crossroads Church, Sunrise Rotary and a volunteer at Health Resources, all in Fergus Falls. She enjoyed biking, walking, reading, flower gardening and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was involved with the Awana program at Crossroads Church and numerous bible studies. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband, Bill; children, Shelly Abramson of Fergus Falls, Craig (Margarette) Abramson of Denver, CO and Lindsey (Krisjohn) Veum of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Taylor Tenner and Zachery Abramson; brothers, Dennis (Marlys) Wickstrom of Arlington, TX and Donald (Chris) Wickstrom of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Carolyn Wickstrom of White Bear Lake; an uncle Lloyd Wickstrom of Roseville, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to Lakeland Hospice, Health Resources or Awana of Crossroads Church. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Monday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Crossroads Church, and resumes one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
