Lila M. Krause, 91, of Fergus Falls, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Alexandria. She was cared for by her loving family, with the support of Douglas County Hospice.
Lila was born July 16, 1928, to John P. and Letta (Kendall) Daker on a farm near Wheaton, MN.
On, May 8, 1946, she married Leonard Krause in Breckenridge, MN. They lived on a farm near Tintah and also lived in Breckenridge and Clitherall. In 1960, the family moved to Fergus Falls. She worked at a few of the corner grocery stores and also JCPenney in Fergus Falls, while raising a family of five.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She loved going to garage sales, bowling with her friends, quilting with her church group, coffee at the Family Diner, and going to bingo with her dear friend Karin. She enjoyed canning, cooking, baking, and loved her sweets. Her family was very important to her. She never missed a family celebration.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; infant daughter, Evelyn; son, Gary; brothers, LuVerne, Lawrence, and Harry Daker; sister, Maysel Johnson, and grandsons, Billy Krause and Leonard Krause.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Elsner of Alexandria, Karen Johnson of Battle Lake, Kevin (Marina) Krause of Moscow, Russia, and Jeffrey Krause of Fergus Falls; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great, grandchildren; brother, Ben Daker, and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Service: Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton, ND
