"Libby" Christopherson

“Libby” Elizabeth L. Christopherson, 65, a resident of Evansville, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at Lake Region Hospital.  She was born February 23, 1943, in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Edgar and Louise (Isenberg) Anderson. She grew up in Litchfield, Minnesota, graduating from Litchfield High School in 1961. On September 14, 1963, she married Neil Christopherson in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They resided in St. Cloud, and in Birchwood, Wisconsin, moving to Fergus Falls in 1970. Libby worked at DAC/Productive Alternatives for 29 years. After retirement, Libby and Neil moved to Lake Ina in rural Evansville. Libby was a dedicated, generous, and tender wife, mother and grandmother whose love was felt by everyone she knew and in everything she did. Libby enjoyed gardening, cooking, needlepoint, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, John; and Bobbin, her loving dog and companion. Survivors include her husband, Neil of Lake Ina, rural Evansville; three children: Rachael (Brock) Smith of Farmington, New Mexico, Andrea (Jay) Beeler of Farmington, MN, and Dustin (Kelly) Christopherson of Chaska, MN; seven grandchildren: Arianna, Breydon, Mariah, Dylan, Luke, Will, and Claire; a sister, Kathy (Wayne) Zeppelin of Darwin, MN; and a brother Bill (Sheila) Anderson of Sartell, MN. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Life Church in Fergus Falls with Pastor Kendra Diehl officiating. There will be a time for fellowship after the service at the church.
