LeRoy Allen Aanerud

LeRoy Aanerud, 85, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Patriot House, Fergus Falls.

Leroy Allen Aanerud was born May 29, 1933, to Hartwig and Edna (Fredrickson) Aanerud in Morris. In 1951 he graduated from Morris High School. On December 29, 1962, he married Jalene Asmus at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Chokio. He was a lineman for Martin Engineering for many years and retired in 1995.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and of IBEW. LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and gardening.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Royal Asmus.

He is survived by his wife, Jalene of Fergus Falls; a son, Garret (Marian) of Rochester; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Johannes and sister-in-law, Janet (Garfield) Robertson of Altoona, WI.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home
Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls
Clergy: Reverend Ali Haugerud
Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls
