Leasha Renae Hoff, 14, a resident of Dalton, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. She was born April 5, 1996, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Troy and Glenda (Schmidt) Hoff. She grew up on their farm north of Dalton on Fossan Lake, attending Underwood School where she was presently in the ninth grade. She was baptized at Our Saviors-Ten Mile Lake Church in Dalton, and was currently in the confirmation program at Zion-Sarpsborg Free Lutheran Church in Dalton. Leasha enjoyed many school activities including volleyball and serving as a class officer, as well as attending school functions. She was an avid four-wheeler and loved “mudding” and dirt bike riding. Photography and using the computer to photoshop her pictures was a favorite pasttime, as well as writing stories. Leasha was an outgoing, witty, and fun loving person with a bit of a daredevil spirit, and she could also be a tough girl when times called for it. Survivors include her parents, Troy and Glenda Hoff, and her big brother, Jacob Hoff, of Dalton; her great-grandparents, Lloyd and June Sonstebo of Fergus Falls; her grandparents: Janyne Hoff of Fergus Falls, Paul (Heidi) Hoff of Underwood, Bobbie Schmidt of Parkers Prairie, and Julie Ringquist of Fergus Falls; aunts and uncles: Bryan and Pamala Odegard of Underwood, Keith and Michelle Pearson of Fergus Falls, Lynn and Wendy Harlow of Erhard, Jeff and Holly Schiesser of Fergus Falls, and James Schmidt Jr. of Minneapolis; numerous cousins; a very special friend, Skylah Oksness, and countless friends and classmates.
