Larry Dale Sander

Larry D. Sander, age 76, of Fergus Falls, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.

Larry was born on January 28, 1940, to Clifford and Hazel (Schachtschneider) Sander in Fergus Falls. He attended school in Ashby and graduated from Ashby High School in 1957.

On November 19, 1960, Larry was united in marriage to Sharon LaVae Williams in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Together, the couple lived in Fergus Falls, where they raised three sons. Larry and Sharon were married for fifty-one years. He was employed at the Fergus Block Plant for thirty-eight years.

Larry loved playing bingo, visiting casinos and old-time country music. He also enjoyed traveling. He and Sharon visited Hawaii twice, took a cruise to the Bahamas and also traveled to Branson, MO, and Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Hazel Sander; his wife, Sharon Sander on April 10, 2012; and a brother, Mike Sander.

Larry is survived by his three sons, Dale Sander, Paul Sander, and Kurt (Rhonda Brown) all of Fergus Falls; a granddaughter, Tully Kenyon of Pelican Rapids; two sisters, Diane Fredrickson of Dalton and Gloria Barriger of Lindstrom, MN; a half-sister, Cheryl (Norman) Muchow of Fergus Falls; three sisters-in-law; and numerous other family members and friends, including his best friend, Darlene Owen of Fergus Falls and his beloved dog, Lola.

Visitation: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls
