Larry Eugene Boyer, 68, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He was born on July 21, 1940 in Jackson, MN the son of Ernest and Ruth (Brown) Boyer. He grew up in Jackson, until the family moved to Baudette. He attended The School for the Deaf in Faribault, Minnesota. Larry worked with Al Kvern for several years cutting down Christmas trees. It was work he really loved and he talked about it often and about how many he had cut down. He was a happy soul, and was known by many people because he rode his bike all over town. He had many friends and special friends at Park Region Telephone and the Viking Café. After recently moving to Riverbend Apartments, he made a new family that loved him dearly. Preceding him in death were his parents and several siblings. Survivors include four sisters, Ruth Conlin of Shoreview, MN, Carol Oase of Forest Lake, Bonnie Gill of Ohio, LaVonne Leek of Iowa; two brothers; Lee Boyer of Iowa and Keith Boyer of White Bear Lake. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a public prayer service at 2 p.m. Friday at the Olson Funeral Home Chapel in Fergus Falls with Chaplain Brad Skogen officiating.
