LaDelle Walsh

LaDelle Nelson Walsh, 81, a resident of Laguna Beach, California, formerly of Fergus Falls, died August 13, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family in the home she loved. LaDelle Grace Nelson was born on January 24, 1926 in Rothsay, MN, the daughter of Thomas E. and Tena (Aaberg) Nelson. She was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rothsay, confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. She left Minnesota as a young adult, living in many different places from Key West, FL to Whidbey Island, WA before she found Laguna Beach. LaDelle was a resident of Laguna Beach for over 40 years. She loved the town not only for its beauty but for its wonderful people. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by many. She called her home and Laguna Beach her shelter in a storm. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughter, Tina (Randy) Marquette of Laguna Beach; brothers, Kenneth (Char) Nelson of Park Rapids and Don (Phyl) Nelson of New Hope; sister, Florence (Bud) Mobraten of Fergus Falls; two grandsons, Bobby and Will Marquette; and countless nieces, nephews and friends who loved her more than words can say. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Hedemarken Lutheran Church, rural Rothsay with Chaplain Harry Olson officiating.
