Ken Williams, age 67, of Underwood, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Ken was born on June 3, 1948, to Lowell A. and Aneta (Kamphuis) Williams in Jamestown, ND. He attended school in Wimbledon, ND, and graduated from Wimbledon High School in 1966.
On August 7, 1971, he married Darlene Anderson. On November 5, 1983, he married Marsha Beiswanger in Jamestown, ND. Ken sold tires for Firestone and then was promoted to Assistant Maganer in Devils Lake, ND. After four years, he was transferred to the Firestone Store in Mitchell, SD. When the store closed, he opened Golden Lakes Pawn in Fergus Falls in April of 1989. He retired on December 31, 2013.
Ken was a member of Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching deer, tinkering in the shop, hunting, target shooting, buying and selling vehicles, gun shows and perfecting his pancakes. Ken truly loved spending time with his children and grandkids, especially giving rides on the Ranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Aneta Williams; his grandparents; and a sister, Judy Williams; his father-in-law, Ray Beiswanger; and his dog, Kujo.
Ken is survived by his wife Marsha Williams of Underwood; his children, Justin (Cortnie) Williams of Jamestown, ND, Tanya (Evan) Westra of Fergus Falls, Tyler (Cristin) Williams of West Fargo, ND, Mike (Teresa) Reimers of West Fargo, ND, and Lindsay (Mark) Gruhlke of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Isaac and Ben Williams, Hayden, Paige and Rachel Westra, McKenzie and Collin Williams, Lily and Grace Reimers and Kayden Gruhlke; his siblings, Brenda Williams and Sheila Williams of Fargo; mother-in-law, Donna (Irving) Dewey; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Carol Beiswanger, Duane and Dawn Beiswanger, Doug and Ilene Beiswanger, Bruce and Nancy Beiswanger, and Darcy and Terry Vaughn; his dear friends, John and Lori Lawyer; his dog, Duke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the Olson Funeral Home with a public prayer service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
