Kenneth Washek, 84, of rural Henning, died Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his residence under the care of Vivie Hospice.
Kenneth Lee Washek was born March 9, 1940 to Leo and Dorothy (Kiser) Washek in Maine Township. He attended school in Underwood through the eighth grade.
On March 30, 1957 Ken married Maxine McAlister in Maine Township.
He worked as a furniture delivery person, did farm work, and retired as a machinist from Continental Machine. Ken enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, spending time in his work shop, smelting, smoking fish, canning, hosting family reunions, and baking.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Maxine; his grandparents; his parents; two brothers; two sisters; cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandson, Timothy.
Ken is survived by his children, Cindy (Dale) Savageau of Prior Lake, Wes (Carol) Washek of Forestor, Dan (Deanna) Washek of Big Fork, and Brian Washek of Henning; grandchildren, Kelly and Mike, Shanna, Chad, Derrick, Tara, Ethan, Kaycee, and Kody; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Leah, Shelby, Camden, Sadie, Joey, Desore, Tiffany, Ryan, Desiree, Elsie, Milly, Declan, Triston, and Barrett; great-great-grandchild, Leaye.
Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Battle Lake, MN, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
Clergy: Father George Michael
Interment: Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery, Battle Lake, MN
