Kenneth Lee Bishop Jr., 73, a resident of Fergus Falls, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, ND surrounded by his family.
He was born January 11, 1941 in the township of Williamsburg, Kansas, the first child to be born to Kenneth Lee and Almedia Mae (Green) Bishop Sr., followed by a brother, Harold W. Bishop on July 10, 1942.
Kenneth met his beautiful wife Rosa Pauline Denniston in early August of 1964. It was love at first sight, because they were married that very same month on August 22, 1964. To this union, five children were born.
He was a man of many talents and had many different job titles, first and foremost his most important job was being a wonderful husband and father. Some of his different job titles included: managing a trailer park, truck driving, working on oil rigs, lumber yard worker, fast food restaurant and also worked for the city of Ottawa, Kansas. Kenneth then started working for Productive alternatives in Fergus Falls for several years until his retirement at the age of 68.
Kenneth loved to whistle and enjoyed whistling when people came over to visit. Everyone would always think it was a bird whistling and asked, “what kind of bird is that?” To which we replied laughing, “That’s not a bird, nope, that’s our father!” His favorite thing to drink was Pepsi. He really liked his Pepsi! Above all things, Kenneth loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Lee Bishop Sr. (2/19/1991) and Almedia Mae Bishop (12/5/1991); his beautiful wife, Rosa Pauline Bishop (11/10/1997)); brother, Harold W.
