Karin Elaine (Carlson) Bennett, 94, of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.
Karin was born November 16, 1925, to Walter and Karin (Danelius) Carlson in Minneapolis, MN. She attended Minneapolis Public schools, graduating in 1943.
On February 22, 1947, she married William Bennett, Jr. in Minneapolis. They resided in Richfield until 1958. She worked at Super Value, the Mound School District in the lunchroom, for the US Postal Service as a City Carrier delivering mail in Minneapolis, and was a Finance Clerk for Fingerhut.
She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, fishing and lake activities. She was a long-time resident on Kings Point at Halstead’s Bay on Lake Minnetonka for 30 years.
Karin is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Karin; her husband, William on March 9, 2009, and brothers, Robert Carlson and Richard (Arlene) Carlson.
She is survived by her sons, James (Marilyn) of Chanhassen and Thomas (Sandy) of Wahpeton; grandchildren, Todd (Jenny) Bennett, Tanya Lupino (Santosh), Lindsey (Jay) Personius, Ryan (Bri) Bennett, Cassidy (Milton) Taylor, and Adam (Laura) Bennett, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Carlson.
Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the PioneerCare Celebration Center in Fergus Falls.
