Karen Tuil, 78, of Wahpeton, ND, died Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Sanford in Fargo.
Karen was born on February 22, 1947 to Alphonse E. and Maida L. (Beehler) Leyk in Milaca, MN.
She graduated from South St. Paul High School.
In 1968 Karen met Richard Eugene Tuil at a dance in Crosby and the couple was engaged a week later. On August 22, 1969, Karen and Richard were united in marriage in Webster, SD. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life and also was employed as a waitress, retiring in 1986.
Karen enjoyed bowling league in Maplewood, MN and pool league in Killdeer, ND. When family visited, they would usually leave with some fresh baked treats of Karen's, "Tollhouse" cookies and banana bread. She loved putting together 1,000-piece puzzles and playing Solitaire.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alphonse and Maida Leyk; sister, Rose Ann Fercho; brothers, Jerry Leyk, Louie Leyk, Alphonse Leyk, Jr.
Karen is survived by her husband, Richard of Wahpeton, ND; children, Polly Tuil of Forest Lake and Brian (Alison) Tuil of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Ashley and Jeff Ratliff of West Fargo, ND, Austin (Lexi) Ehret of Mapleton, ND, Louie (Meghan) Thompson of Yukon, PA, Sam Thompson of Forest Lake, MN and Joshua Copeland of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandchildren, Waylon Ehret, Amara Ratliff, Aurora Thompson, Luk and Thorin Thompson and one on the way.
Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Stavanger Lutheran Church with a visitation one hour prior to the start of the service at the church.

Cemetery: Minnesota Veterans Cemetery Little Falls, Little Falls, MN
