Justin Nicholas Maurice Cyrus

Justin Nicholas Maurice Cyrus, 23, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Monday, November 3, 2014 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.

Justin Nicholas Maurice Cyrus was born November 1, 1991 in Aurora Colorado at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He lived in Colorado, New York, and finally Fergus Falls with his Mother, Father, and sister where he grew up.

Justin was charismatic, even as a child. To know him was to love him and want to be around him. No matter how many mischievous acts he committed, from stealing his sister’s diary to breaking his mom’s rules; you could never stay mad at him for long. One smile and a few well spoken words and he was back in your good graces.

He was also so very talented. He showed his talent as a young boy with his sketches. He drew many of the characters from his favorite TV shows. This love of drawing easily flowed into another creative talent. Music. Justin began writing songs as an adolescent. He had a powerful way with words and used it as an outlet to express his emotions and write about his life. He pursued his music with passion and his dedication to it paid off when he was signed to a record label.

The only thing Justin loved more than his music was his family. He and his mother had a special relationship and he had a fierce and protective love for her. He started a family of his own with his girlfriend, Abby. They had two beautiful children, Damien (4) and Kiera (1.5). I believe he would agree that they are the best things he ever created.

The family he so deeply loved and is survived by includes his mother, father, two sisters, brother, step-father, grandmother, many aunts, uncles, cousins and those close friends he considered family as well.

Although he left this world November 3, 2014 at the young age of 23 he is not gone in our hearts.

There will be a memorial to celebrate his life Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Bigwood Event Center from 1pm to 3pm for the public.
