June Lider

June 1, 1935 — March 28, 2025

Softy and tenderly, Jesus called June Lider home to Heaven on Friday, March 28, 2025.

June was born on June 1, 1935 in Fullerton, ND, the daughter of William M. and Anna F. (Karvonen) Krapu. She attended LaMoure High School in LaMoure, ND, graduating in 1953. After high school, she attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

On December 28, 1973, June married Kenneth D. Lider at the United Methodist Church in Wahpeton, ND. Through the years, June worked at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN and Wyoming State Highway Department in Wheatland, WY until she retired in 1995. Upon retirement she started a small residential cleaning business.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wheatland, WY, serving as church treasurer. She was also a member of American Mother's Inc. and was awarded Wyoming State Mother of the Year in 1996, and also a member of the Wheatland Election Board and PEO.

June loved to garden, both vegetables and flowers. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, baking and caring for her beloved pets. She had decades of county and state fair entries and awards for her gardening and knitting. She naturally mentored family and friends. June was a caregiver to all.

Preceding her in death were her son, Greg Johnson; her father and step-mother, William and Bertha Krapu; her mother, Anna Karvonen Johnson; her aunt, "mom" Helen Ruff, and half-sister, Carol Lang.

June is survived by her husband, Kenneth D. Lider; her children, Janet "Jan" (Greg) Loftus and Julie Johnson (George Holden); siblings, Ernie (Merla) Johnson, Linda (Dallas) Biers and John (Raeann) Ruff; step-sons, Steven Lider, Todd Lider, and Michael Lider; daughter-in-law, Mary Johnson; grandchildren, Heather Carlson, Alexandria Loftus (Cody) Englert, Jake (Emily) Loftus, Thomas (Larisa) Harig, Michael (Kayla) Harig, and Christopher (Amanda) Harig, Elizabeth (Dave) Holden, Patricia Holden, Allison Holden, Jamie Steinberg and Nathan (Erin) Steinberg; great-grandchildren, Simon Carlson, Benjamin and Jesse Englert, Gwendolyn Loftus, Thomas and Jaxon Harig, Jayden, Owen, Landen, and Myla Harig, Amelia, Hazel, and Ramsey Harig, Joey and Teddy Holden, Zoey and Hannah Steinberg.
