Judith A. King, 72, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at Sanford in Fargo, ND.
She was born April 28, 1943, in Wichita Falls, TX, the daughter of George and Mildred (Boyd) Ambrose. She graduated from high school in Ogden, UT and later continued her education at Moorhead State University, graduating in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology.
On March 25, 1967, she married Jim King in Salt Lake City, UT.
Throughout her life, Judy worked as a bank teller, an office manager, and a small business owner. She was an artist, a genealogist, an architect, a plant lady and a birdwatcher. She was mostly a homemaker, wife, and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Judy was always singing in the kitchen, the car and in the choir. She was a member of the Sauk Centre United Methodist Church, Cooper County Missouri Historical Society and the Howard County Historical Society.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Jim King of Fergus Falls; children, Michele Marquedant of Fergus Falls and Ron King of New Castle, NH; grandchildren Alison, Megan and Katelin Hughes of Fergus Falls and Colby, Carter and Dylan King of New Castle, NH; and brothers, Steven Ambrose of Fort Collins, CO and George Ambrose of Tucson, AZ.
A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre with a private family burial at a later date.
