Joyce Miller

Joyce M. Miller, 76, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at the Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.  She was born December 1, 1931, in Jackson County, Minnesota, the daughter of James and Esther (Sandahl) Underhill. On December 22, 1949, she married Doyle Miller. They lived in Fergus Falls and then in Babbitt, returning to Otter Tail County in 1957. Joyce worked at a number of occupations throughout her life before retiring and enjoying being with her family in Fergus Falls. Joyce enjoyed sewing and will always be remembered for all her wonderful baking. Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; her brother, Daniel; her brother-in-law, Leo Hemmerlin; and her brother and sister-in-laws Maurice and Glenice Hansen. Survivors include her children: Janice Reaves of Lawrenceville, GA, Patricia (Richard) Anderson of Suttons Bay, MI, Dwaine (Penny) of Dalton, MN, and Dwight (Sherrie), Denise (Jeff) Busko, and Douglas (Becky) all of Fergus Falls; 11 grandchildren: Micheal, Matthew, Brandy, Ben, John, Jennifer, Wade, Justin, Doug, Chad, and Adam; six great-grandchildren; her siblings: Gloria Hemmerlin, Lorraine (Jerry) Erickson, Shirley (Gerald) Suchy, Joan (Larry) Alfs, Rita (Bernal) Cichy, Robert (Lorraine), Dennis (Mary), Darrell and Judy; three sisters-in-law: Joan (Bill) Walkup, Dolly (Robert) Dickerson, and Marlys (Joe) Oblinger; one brother-in-law, Lester (Beverly) Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
