Joyce Mae Folden

Joyce Mae Folden, 68, of Jamestown, ND, died Monday, November 7, 2016, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Joyce was born on October 8, 1948, to Haakon and Alice (Clary) Folden in Moorhead. She graduated from Hawley High School in 1968.

Joyce first and foremost loved her family and her friends, and having coffee with her friends was also very important to her. She was an animal lover; her dogs and cats were her children. She worked in manufacturing throughout her adult life and retired in 2015. Joyce was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown, ND. She enjoyed various woodworking projects, including building and cabinetry, playing Yahtzee, putting puzzles together and watching sports.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Haakon and Alice Folden.

Joyce is survived by her siblings, Grace (Conrad) Liptue of Seattle, WA, MaryAnn (Ron) Jueve of Fosston, ND, Sig (Anita) Folden of Fargo, ND, Margaret (Bob) Sullivan of Fargo, ND, Larry (Peggy) Folden of Cushing, OK, Betty Monson of Cavalier, ND, Jimmy Folden of Moorhead, MN, Richard Folden of Moose Lake, Marilyn (Dave) Walstrom of Moorhead, David Folden of Moorhead, and Janis (Darwin) Paler of Fergus Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend and “sister”, Janet Olson.
