Joyce LaVonne Aho, age 75, of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at home in Fergus Falls. She was born in Becker County, Minnesota on December 2, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Erma (Kraft) Sidlo. She attended the Sebeka schools and graduated with the Class of 1955. On December 15, 1956 she married Roland E. Aho in Sebeka. The couple made their home in Fergus Falls. Through the years Joyce worked at O’Meara’s Department Store (1968-71) and Victor Lundeen’s (1971-98) in downtown Fergus Falls. Joyce was a member of the local VFW Auxiliary, Trinity Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Ladies Aide, and the Lioness Club. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, putting together jigsaw puzzles and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Lucille and Beverly, as well as her brother, Myron. Survivors include her husband, Roland Aho of Fergus Falls; sons, Michael (Kathy) Aho of Rochester, Timothy (Tammy) Aho of Solihull, England, and Patrick (Mia) Aho of Long Prairie; daughter, Diane (David) Stevenson of Eden Prairie; nine grandchildren: Johnathon (Stephanie) Aho of Chicago, Jennifer (Russell) Moore of State College, PA, Brooke and Carly Aho of Long Prairie, Jessica Aho of Orange County, CA, Andrew Aho of Mesa, AZ, and Harley, Rollie, and Marla Stevenson of Eden Prairie; her sister, Arlene Antilla of Menahga; four sisters-in-law: Ardis Esala of New York Mills, Shirlee (Mert) Daulton of Ottertail, Marilyn Wilson of Staples, and Genevieve Keranen of Ottertail. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund. Service: Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Visitation: An hour before services at the Church.
